Welcome to the remarkable rebranding journey of The Den, a social lounge for families seeking community, classes, and exceptional coffee. At our brand design agency, we were presented with a unique opportunity to collaborate with The Den, with a goal to create a core brand identity and logo mark that would help with redefining a place in Denver where parenthood could collide with grace and distinction.


Challenge Addressed: Identifying the concerns of The Den's owner, we acknowledged together that there were struggles faced by exhausted new moms navigating the journey of parenthood, health, entrepreneurship and so much more. Recognizing the shortcomings of existing primary-colored play based areas that failed to captivate and inspire these moms, especially in the realm of mental health, our objective became crafting a brand identity that would connect with families seeking a more sophisticated and mindful experience. Challenege accepted.

Project Scope and Thinking Process: Starting with a humble drawing by a student that The Den had, we embarked on a brand revamp. We created a transformative journey to create the perfect brand mark for The Den. Our thinking revolved around incorporating relaxing neutral colors with a focus to communicate the commitment to conscious parenting. This approach aimed to create an inviting and harmonious retreat for families.

Design Journey:

  • Inspiration: The essence of our design journey began with The Den’s current and humble logo done by a student. It looked like wood and to us, symbolized the raw, genuine nature of parenthood. It just needed to be elevated, ten fold.

  • Conceptualization: We delved into the challenges faced by tired moms and families, seeking to bring forth a design that not only addressed their pain points but also celebrated the beauty of conscious parenting through connection.

  • Execution: The brand mark evolved, incorporating elements that communicated warmth, togetherness, home, tranquility, and the sense of community that The Den aimed to provide.

Type Choices and Color Psychology: In selecting type choices, we focused on fonts and colors that exude warmth, friendliness, sophistication and mostly reflecting the welcoming atmosphere of The Den. Together we went for relaxing neutral colors that encourage a sense of tranquility, making The Den a perfect escape for families seeking solace.

Our process is rooted in a thoughtful and strategic approach to design.
